For Health and Wellbeing Queensland’s family app Podsquad, I led the illustration direction and character development for a scalable ecosystem of creatures designed to engage both children and parents. The challenge was to create a visually memorable and approachable character system that supported the app’s family-friendly health and wellbeing positioning while remaining recognisable across digital touchpoints.


Through research, concept development, and iterative refinement, I collaborated with the creative team to develop 42 distinctive creatures that balanced playfulness with clarity and consistency. The final illustration system helped bring the Podsquad brand to life and contributed to the project receiving recognition at the 2023 Brisbane Advertising and Design Club Awards.


The character concepts ideation stage was done using pencil on paper.

All characters were vector produced to make sure they can all be used across multiple production outputs. Some of these were game and TVC productions.
